| TIMBERSTAIN is a Water-Based
stain which is so advanced that its transparency allows the natural grain and
texture of the timber to be enhanced without being obscured by the stain, even
after two coats. It is ideal for application over porous timber, especially white
woods such as pine, etc.
The coating, which is non-bleeding, non-migratory, and has a superior performance
than dyes, also provides the ability to filter out hostile Ultra Violet radiation,
which can otherwise damage timber and alter its colour.
TIMBERSTAIN, when used either as a furniture wiping stain or
as an exterior transparent stain, adds protection, beauty and warmth to the natural
features of wood. The coating is excellent for many applications, including wooden
floors, general furniture, fences, sheds, greenhouses, sun decks, lawn furniture,
and timber claddings, etc.
TIMBERSTAIN is made in a range of weather resistant timber colours,
including Jarrah, Teak, Rosewood, and Mahogany, and these may be further inter-blended
to produce an even wider range of colours. The product gives off no fumes or objectionable
smells and is pleasant and easy to use, even in confined spaces. The products
are quick drying, and all clean ups are carried out with water. TIMBERSTAIN
may also be top coated with PHOENIX MAGNACOAT a water-based modified
urethane dispersion, which is a hard wearing clear finish (although the TIMBERSTAIN
must always be slightly abraded first to provide a surface key). However, if two
or more coats of the TIMBERSTAIN have been applied, then in most
cases an additonal clear top coats is not necessary.

Phoenix Paints "TIMBER STAIN"
I am pleased to provide a testimonial for the above product which we have been
using
for more than four years.
The reasons we use it are:
1. It looks good. We use the Mahogany Timber Stain on our
Western Red Cedar weatherboards. The stain brings out a delicious golden-red
hue
that we really like, and the grain of the wood is still visible. We have had
many
people comment on how good our home 'feels" and we think a big part of that
is due to the colour of the weatherboards.
2. It is easy to apply. It goes on quickly and it dries in about
half an hour, so you can do a couple of coats
in a day.
3. Itis environmentally friendly. This is important to us. Being
a water based product we know we can use it and clean our brushes without impacting
on our health or polluting the environment.
4. It lasts and is easy to maintain. We have had Timberstain
on our north facing wall for more than four years. It needs a touch up coat now,
but it has weathered well. The western and southern walls do not need recoating
yet. When we apply a new coat to an area it does not make the older areas look
worn. It blends in well.

| Weatherboard house 4 years after applying 2 coats of
Mahogany Timberstain |

|
| Weatherboard house 6 years after applying 2 coars
of Mahogany Timberstain |
|
Also it doesn't go dark or black with mould as
we have some timber boards do. We apply one coat on the back side to seal the
wood and
two coats on the front face.
We recommend this product to any of our friends who are renovating or recladding
their homes with Western Red Cedar weatherboards. We have just started some more
renovations and will be using the Timberstain product again.
Yours sincerely, Gary Burke |
